I think I may have a problem...

Now I'm hoping, just really hoping that someone can beat the speeds I've got..
I've done it a few times to find my highest word per minute and characters per minute rates.
word per minute ... with 4 mistakes, I know I could get faster if I could cut out the mistakes. They're usually silly ones like I'll type "thos epeople" instead of "those people". It's just a matter of my thumb being too fast for my left index.
Characters per minute, over 650.
I'm a bit worried, I think I may be a nerd. And there's that looming threat of carpal tunnel syndrome... Really, my hands already shake.
If anyone can beat this let me know. I'd feel better about myself then.

I'm a touch typist. I know people who worked in offices for years and can't type as fast as me. That said, i'm still significantly slower than you. Step away from the laptop and pick up a pen, Dan.

At least your accuracy is better than mine.
The thing about picking up a pen .. I write really fast as well, and I'm left (cack) handed.
Nope here as well. I've topped out at 139wpm and a shade under 600cpm, with any reasonable belief that it's correct. But just today I 'scored' about 167wpm and 750cpm with 10 mistakes. The thing is, I know I didn't - the 10 errors is probably correct but I was maybe half the speed it posted ...
However, this would be the first time it's given me a score that's not credible and I have to admit to having racked up a hell of a lot of hours on that site.
