What the hell? I've heard this on the radio a few times and thought it was ok. I download the track and it's different, I listen to it on Youtube, it's not what I thought. After properly listening to it it's like someone bent over and fired their diarrhea all over my face, after I've just got out the shower.
Seriously, this sucks ass. It begins well enough, then some asshole comes in and burps part of the song. God damn these heavy metal types, any moron can burp into a microphone, it doesn't sound good, it just ruins the whole song, and it had potential. It could have made an amazing dance tune, or turned into some nice punk/rock. Unfortunately all it lived up to was shitting in people's faces.

I wonder, can this be considered art?

Really, what constitutes itself as art these days? If I showed the picture alone, would people interpret it? If I gave the picture a meaning, a caption, a story, a purpose, would people believe it?
Could I be a genius?...
The image on the right is taken from photoarts.com/. Now the very name implies photographic art, and the end result is something so utterly crappy .. what's to stop me making some money out of this? The pearl necklace thing; no story, no background, no interpretation. It's just a blurred neck with a necklace. I think I'm doing the wrong degree.

Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Thou Shalt Always Kill
I heard this on the radio last night (although it's been circulating for a few days) and I quite liked it. It's simple but it's catchy, and he has a point, though I wouldn't trust someone with the name "le sac". In addition his beard is kind of weird but I guess he's making a statement with that just like he is with this song.
That's all I'm going to say about this for now, I'm off to make pasta and cheese.
Enjoy.

Maxïmo Park - Girls Who Play Guitars

The first track on the new album from Maxïmo Park, and it's stunning. It starts out with a low buzzing sound which reminded me of Franz Ferdinand's "The Fallen", which was also the first track on their second album. Maybe just a coincidence. Anyhoo, that's about all the two songs have in common.
I personally really enjoy this track and it complements "Our Velocity" perfectly, making an excellent start to the album.
Some choice lyrics:
"Three Hundred, and Sixty, Five Days, watching me decay"
"It's her life and a life is worth living (it's her life)
it never struck her just to pause for one minute (it's her life)"
As you can tell, I'm getting really lazy with this review writing, but whatever. Maybe I'll start actually writing something worth reading later in the year. Miracles happen. Just enjoy the music.
