It was an onion to top all onions.

Seriously. It smelled a little bit rotten too.

I'd already won £4 of Lisa's tips. The challenge after that was to eat this whole onion, raw, in one minute. I didn't think I could do it, but the prospect prize of the rest of the tips, £12, was too much for me to pass up on. If I'd combined that with my tips, and my winnings already, I would have gone home with £57 that night.

If I failed to complete the challenge I stood to lose the tips I had already won from Lisa with them going back to her.

So I took the challenge.

Yes... I failed miserably. I came out of it £4 poorer, with a burning nose, an urge to throw up, and 4 mouthfuls of onion in my gut.
